The Breakfast of Champions is a fundraising event designed to honor and support the efforts of over 4,000 adult volunteers who provide a quality year-round Scouting program to more than 9,000 Hampton Roads youth.
Over 17,000 runners descend on the Virginia Beach oceanfront for this 13.1-mile race. The marathon starts at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, runs through the scenic Virginia Beach oceanfront and finishes on the spectacular oceanfront boardwalk. Bands along the race course help to motivate runners to cross the finish line! Participants compete for the largest half marathon prize purse in the United States. With a course that’s flat, fast, and fun, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon has become a “must run” event for thousands of racers. A post-race concert with a national recording act on the 5th Street Main Stage tops off the fun-filled day!
