Day 1 | Hampton is “out of this world.”
PM: The “First to the Sea, First to the Stars” is the birthplace of NASA, and celebrates the space exploration at the Virginia Air & Space Center. Visit hands-on exhibits and a premiere interactive aviation gallery. End the day with a Teen Party Cruise aboard the Miss Hampton II.


Day 2 | Portsmouth shows its nautical side.
AM: History and charm in this quaint seaport city begins with a harbor cruise on the Carrie B. Visit the James River site of the historic USS Monitor and USS Merrimac battle.

PM: Check out the Lightship Museum and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum, or size up your skills at the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.


Day 3 | Norfolk celebrates freedom.
AM: Liberty and self-expression are center stage in this vibrant city. Find the “Power of the Sea” at Nauticus and the USS Wisconsin.

PM: Sail the Elizabeth River and view the Atlantic Fleet aboard the American Rover Tall Ship Cruises or the Spirit of Norfolk. Perfect for students, a variety of performance venues welcome marching bands, choral and instrumental groups.


Day 4 | Virginia Beach and ocean adventures.
AM: Find enlightenment and entertainment along our shores with kayak eco-tours and dolphin watching excursions from Virginia Aquarium. Or explore the Aquarium’s interactive exhibits and 3D IMAX® Theater.

PM: Naval Air Station Oceana offers a rare glimpse at the power of a Master Jet Base and its aircraft. Music and theater are first-rate at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts in the heart of Virginia Beach.


Day 5 | Newport News brings history to life.
AM: The great Civil War ironclad USS Monitor is featured at The Mariners’ Museum, along with an array of maritime artifacts. The Virginia Living Museum showcases wildlife of Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay. And history is lively at the Virginia War Museum and Lee Hall Mansion, where Edgar Allen Poe will greet you for a memorable English lesson.
