The City of Virginia Beach publishes a general brochure printed in French, Spanish, German and Japanese. It may be obtained by calling 800-700-7702 or by visiting the Visitor Information Center, located at the end of the Virginia Beach-Norfolk Expressway, I-264, across from the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
It is customary to tip 15-20% of the bill for restaurant and taxi service, and hotel porterage ranges from $1-$1.50 per bag. Taxes are 13% for accommodations, 10% for restaurants and 4.5% for retail sales.
