Situated in the midst of the region’s Botanical Gardens, Norfolk/Virginia Beach International Airport, serving the Greater Hampton Roads area, as well as parts of North Carolina, offers one of the most beautiful and unique getaways to arriving and departing guests. This regionally-based facility provides major jet carriers and commuter airlines that operate nearly 200 flights daily with non-stop, direct and connecting service to hundreds of cities worldwide.

Centrally located and just 15-20 minutes from any of our Virginia Beach hotels, this modern airport is a mere 18 miles from the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Rental cars, shuttle services, limo services and taxi-cabs are handily on-site to whisk you to your accommodations. For guests who have private charters, Piedmont Aviation services the region and shares Norfolk International runways.

Because of its central location, Virginia Beach is within a 750-mile radius of two-thirds of the nation’s population. Approaching from the West, the easiest routes are Interstate 64, Interstate 264, U.S. 460 or U.S. 58. From the North and South, convenient routes are Interstate 85 or 95, U.S. 13 and U.S. 17.

These routes intersect with I-64 which circles Hampton Roads and connects to I-264, which leads visitors directly to the oceanfront resort area.

Whether you’re coming from Boston or Miami, Los Angeles or Seattle, your train connection is Amtrak. Service is available to Newport News, a neighboring city to Virginia Beach. Amtrak Bus service is available between the train station and 24th street and Pacific Avenue in Virginia Beach. Reservations are required.
